So I find myself finally believing the saying "when it rains, it pours", but in my case it is a positive saying. I struggled for months and months after graduating from my class of 2010 at SDSU. However, I decided to ask for help and get a website set up (which you are enjoying at this very moment), and got help spreading the word that I am looking for work. So after a few months of setting up the website, making business cards, replying to a ridiculous amount of job posts, and looking to just about any company needing video editing services, I landed a job. Now it seems that the doors have opened and I am getting people to come to me for jobs. I am completely blessed to have met all these people in the past few days, months, hours and minutes that have given me all these new opportunities. I am still searching for the perfect job for myself, but I am having so much fun learning how to edit in different styles and learning how to use different programs.
I hope to write to these people one day thanking them for setting me on the path to become the editor I want to be one day. I hope I can share my success with everyone one day.
For now, I will celebrate the little successes that come my way and will share with you through blogging, how I am having the time of my life doing what I love.
No matter how small the project, I am helping someone's dream come true, which in turn, my dream is coming true.
Thank you to all of those people who have helped me along the way!
